About Turner Home Inspections
Frank L. Turner's Resume
Summary of experience. US Marine Corps (Colonel). Retired
after 33 years in various command and staff assignments worldwide.
Last years of active duty as Director of Logistics and Facilities
for major USMC base in the southeast.
Home Inspector and related experience:
1993-1995.
Supervised maintenance and repair of complex that housed approximately
13,000 Marines, Sailors and families…total population
about 30,000. Included commercial buildings, maintenance of
heavy equipment, homes, barracks, water and wastewater treatment,
power (natural gas and electric) and communications assets.
Supervised military construction, maintenance, repair and
renovations of facilities at Marine Corps Recruit Depot at
Parris Island, SC. Facilities ranged from Industrial (steam
and power, water distribution, waste water treatment, equipment
maintenance and repair) to residential housing (350 single
and multi-family homes), 25 buildings of various types on
National Historic Register or South Carolina’s listing
of Buildings of Historic Interest. Responsible for planning
and supervising construction, budget formulation, repair/remodel/maintenance
of 7.5 million square feet under roof, quality control and
supervision of 400+ civilian and military employees ranging
from engineers and architects to lawn mower operators.
1996-present.
Feb 96. Attended and successfully completed Midwest Inspectors
Institute at Leavenworth, Kansas. May 96. Successfully completed
American Society of Home Inspectors’ (ASHI) technical
examinations. Fully accredited ASHI member. Member and past
President of SC Association of Home Inspectors. Member and
President of South Carolina Chapter, ASHI. South Carolina
Home Inspector License #0069. Have completed more than 400
quality control inspections for USMC, more than 3000 ASHI
standards home inspections and about 100 HUD and/or Rural
Development inspections. Average two professional seminars
annually for continuing education/training. Certified EIFS
(synthetic stucco) inspector. Certified by Exterior Design
Institute, Norfolk VA. Certification accepted by EIMA (EIFS
Industry Manufacturing Association). Provide consultant services
for moisture problems attendant to both residential and commercial
construction. Currently averaging almost 600 complete residential
and 15-20 light commercial inspections annually.
